Every year I search out a piece of phenomenal arm candy I know is going to put a summer smile on my face every time I wear it. Festivals, holidays – even the school run – it’s that bit of “bling” that puts happiness in my heart every morning as I put it on. Or something like that!
This year – it’s my Hipanema Bracelet and since festival season has officially kicked of with Glastonbury, I figured now is a good time to share the love! These are bracelets that, not only indulge your inner hippy, but lift your spirits even if the weather isn’t playing the summer game.
I first discovered the brand during a meeting when all I was hearing was “bla, bla, bla” since my eyes were drawn to the STUNNING collection of bracelets my companion was rocking. Within minutes I’d convinced a woman I barely knew to take off said hippy adornment so that I could have a try! Yes my friend – that’s how I roll!
I was pretty psyched to discover the vibrant bands were cleverly just all attached to one clasp, because, let’s face it, attaching numerous friendship bands every morning isn’t something THIS busy mamma has time for, however stunning!
If I’m honest this woman was oozing cool, so perhaps I was kinda hopeful that a bit of her zchuzh would rub off on me if I joined the Hipanema gang? You know – like the cool girl in school where suddenly everyone rocks up to registration with the same bag SHE has?! Yup. SHE was the adult incarnation of that girl.
Has the bracelet catapulted me to “cool girl” status? Not exactly! But I DO get asked about it the whole time – it’s so eye-catching and unique looking. It came with us to Kefalonia, was perfect on our yurt trip and it’s a regular fixture on my arm for the school run.
The brand is D-I-V-I-N-E!
They have loads of variations to choose from, so chances of you finding a “bracelet buddy” are slim! Plus they also do bikinis and clothes. I know. I can almost not bear it either! The website has become my kryptonite in all its boho glory.
